Happy Mother's Day!

I love my mother & there are so many reasons. She is incredibly chipper and spry for her age.  A great sense of humor! Can you tell? Loves a good prank and loves her five children. And WE love & adore her! She loves to sing, play cards and just enjoys her life! So glad we live near one another at last!

A Card for My Missionary

Our son , John, is serving a mission for our church. He loves it!  And the people that he serves. WE send him letters and keep in touch via email.  Today I decided it was time to send him this special card I created with him in mind!  He is one amazing young man...and touches so many lives, for sure.

Kyle and I visited our daughter's family last week. Fortunately we got there in time to watch our grandson at his horseback riding lesson. Here he is!! Six years old and full of joy and fun. I took several photos of his adventures with Ebony, the horse. Stay tuned for the scrapbook pages I am presently creating for the album pages that will go in our album, "Those We Love...".

D is for Daddy...

My dear father passed away on September 30, 2009. There were and are days when I start to pick up the phone and call him to ask a question. Feelings I have never had before then. But I am at peace. He lived a great life and left behind a devoted, darling wife and five children who are living testaments of his values and vision of family! WE miss you daddy...

Here is my grandmother with her three sons. My dad is on the far right...love this one taken about 1930. My grandmother was a homemaker, gardener, excellent seamstress, quilter, canning expert, school teacher, wife, mother, sister, friend...she wore many hats. And she wore them well. She accomplished the essential life...that of caring for her family. Her determination and the intentional life she lived will not be forgotten by her descendants.

John has to wear a tie to work but I think he likes it!  He is enjoying Colorado Mountain College and loves his job because he gets salary plus commission.  He works 30 plus hours a week, studies, and eats, goes to class, and cooks, and works out...you get the picture! One busy guy!

Christmas 2009

We were not able to make our Christmas party in TX again this year. John was our rep.  I have a great family!!  Love them all so very much!  And all the kids are growing up! You know who you are!  Two weddings in 2008...

This is one of my favorite pictures of John.  He is happy cause he is babysitting Karma, the cutest, sweetest boxer on the planet!! Hey, do they both have blue eyes??  They do!!
